About Myth Makers
Since 1991, the Doctor Who Information Network has annually published its own fan fiction collection, Myth Makers. This zine accepts stories with word lengths of 2000 to 15 000 words. Although tales featuring Doctors, companions or villains from the television series, New Adventures or BBC Books are preferred, this isn't a rule. As long as the story takes place in the DW universe and fits a PG-13 rating (some readers may be under 16), all submissions are welcome. Issues include plenty of illustrations by up and coming artists, too.
In 1996, DWIN released the first issue of Myth Makers Presents, which features novel length fiction in the desired range of 50 000 to 80 000 words (roughly the length between an early 1980s Target novel and the current BBC Books offerings). Also released annually, each issue is lavishly illustrated and cerlox bounded with plastic dust jacket.
